Why 'somethingthat-happened.blogspot.co.uk'?

So my class were asked to create a blog to keep a record of all our ideas whilst studying Of Mice And Men, and I didn't particularly want my name in my URL, but what does Something That Happened have to do with the novel?
John Steinbeck was in the process of writing this novel with the name Something That Happened but his dog ate the first half of his original copy, so he had to start again.
In the process of re writing it, he came across a Robert Burns poem. It tells of an unfortunate field mouse whose home was flattened by a plough:
"But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane,In proving foresight may be vain:The best laid schemes o' mice an' menGang aft a-gleyAn' lea'e us nought but grief an' painFor promised joy."
